Transform basic brownie mix with frosting and cookie cutters for a fun and creative treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • 3/4 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting (from 16 oz container)
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors multicolored candy sprinkles or colored sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F if using a dark or nonstick pan), then line a 9-inch square pan with foil, leaving some overhang. Grease the foil with shortening or cooking spray. Follow the brownie mix instructions for making and baking. Allow them to cool completely on a rack for about 1 1/2 hours. Freeze in the pan for 30 minutes.
  • Carefully lift the brownies from the pan using foil and gently peel the foil away. Use a 2 1/2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out 9 brownie hearts. Enjoy the leftover pieces as a tasty snack. Place the brownie hearts on a cooling rack or waxed paper.
  • Microwave the frosting in a bowl on High for 10 to 30 seconds until melted and spoonable but still thick, making sure not to boil it. Carefully drizzle the melted frosting over brownies to create a glaze, letting the excess drip down the sides. Sprinkle with candy sprinkles before the frosting sets. Let the frosting set for about 2 hours before storing the brownies covered in a single layer at room temperature.
