Brown sugar and butter glazed carrots - a simple yet decadent side dish for any meal, be it special occasions or everyday dinners.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground white pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, cover carrots with 1 inch of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until tender, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and transfer to a bowl.
  • In the same saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add brown sugar, salt, and white pepper, stirring until dissolved. Toss in carrots to coat with the brown sugar mixture. Cook and stir until carrots are warm and completely glazed, for 1 to 3 minutes.
