Gluten-free apple crisp made extra delicious with quinoa flakes and rice flour.
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups chopped apples
  • 0.25 cup rice flour
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup rice flour
  • 0.5 cup quinoa flakes
  • 0.5 cup rice flakes
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Mix together fresh apples, a 1/4 cup of rice flour, white sugar, and fragrant cinnamon in a bowl, then spread the mixture into an 8-inch baking dish.
  • Combine brown sugar, butter, 1/2 cup rice flour, quinoa flakes, and rice flakes in the bowl with the apple mixture. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples and gently press down.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes until the apples are tender and the topping is slightly browned.
