Whip up a delicious gluten-free apple crisp with Bisquick!
Ingredients:
  • Whipped cream, if desired
  • 7 large or 10 medium tart cooking apples (Greening, Rome, Granny Smith), cored, peeled and sliced (10 cups)
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons raw blue agave
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup Bisquick™ Gluten Free mix
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons vegan buttery spread, cut into cubes
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously grease a 13x9-inch baking dish with vegan buttery spread.
  • Combine the apple filling ingredients in a large bowl; set aside.
  • Combine brown sugar, Bisquick® mix, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a medium bowl. Use a pastry blender or two knives to cut in the spread until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Spread a generous layer of the apple filling in the pan, followed by a generous sprinkle of the crisp topping over the apples. Finish by spooning the rest of the apple filling on top and sprinkling the remaining crisp topping over it to create a delicious layered effect.
  • Bake until topping is a beautiful golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork, for around 50-55 minutes. Enjoy with a dollop of whipped cream.
