Gluten-Free Apple Streusel Cheesecake Bars

Indulge in delicious gluten-free apple bars made with Betty Crocker® Gluten Free cake mix for a satisfying sweet treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (15 oz) Betty Crocker™ Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup cold butter
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously coat the bottom and sides of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix and butter using a pastry blender or fork until mixture is crumbly. Set aside 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture. Press the remaining crumbs into the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth.
  • Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the partially baked crust. In a medium bowl, combine pie filling and cinnamon, then spoon it evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top, followed by a generous sprinkle of walnuts.
  • Continue baking until the top is lightly golden brown, then allow to cool for about 30 minutes. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until chilled. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows to make bars and store them covered in the refrigerator.
