Elevate your party with unforgettable homemade hummus, bursting with fresh flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bulb garlic, unpeeled
  • 2 teaspoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 can (15.5 ounces) great northern beans, drained and 2 tablespoons liquid reserved
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Raw vegetables or gluten-free crackers, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Slice off the top of a garlic bulb by 1/2 inch, drizzle with oil, wrap in foil, and bake for 50 to 60 minutes until soft when pierced with a knife. Allow to cool slightly before using.
  • Press the garlic into the food processor, then add beans, reserved bean liquid, lemon juice, and salt. Process until smooth and consistent.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish using a spoon, then garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy with gluten-free crackers or crisp vegetables.
