Hoisin marinated grilled asparagus sprinkled with sesame seeds for a flavorful Asian side.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 0.5 cup hoisin sauce
  • sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • In a resealable plastic bag, combine the asparagus and hoisin sauce. Shake well to coat the asparagus evenly. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes. For maximum flavor, refrigerate and marinate overnight.
  • Heat up your outdoor grill to medium heat and gently oil the grate.
  • Take the asparagus out of the bag and gently shake off any extra hoisin sauce. Place the asparagus spears on the grill and cook, turning them every 1 to 2 minutes until grill marks appear on all sides and the hoisin sauce caramelizes onto the asparagus, which should take about 4 to 6 minutes.
  • Serve asparagus on a platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
