Indulgent grilled bacon pizza with extra bacon for an irresistible twist. Your new go-to favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound prepared pizza dough
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup bacon jam
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 cup cooked chopped bacon
  • 1/4 cup arugula
  • 2 tablespoon pesto
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoon crumbled ricotta salata
Instructions:
  • Preheat all gas grill burners on High for 10 to 15 minutes before shaping pizza dough and brushing with olive oil.
  • Adjust half of the grill burners to Low heat to establish zones of both direct and indirect heat.
  • Lay the dough onto the grill, olive oil side down, directly over the heat. Cover and grill until the bottom is slightly cooked with char marks, about 1 to 3 minutes.
  • After flipping the dough, let it cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown. Transfer the cooked dough to a baking sheet.
  • Spread a layer of delectable bacon jam on the pizza dough. Next, generously sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the dough. Add small dollops of creamy ricotta cheese on top. Lastly, scatter the crispy cooked bacon pieces evenly across the pizza.
  • Continue grilling the pizza until the cheese is perfectly melted, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle arugula pieces on pizza, then spoon pesto and drizzle balsamic glaze. Top with crumbled ricotta salata. Cut into wedges before serving.
