Marinate round steak overnight for maximum flavor – no extra sauce needed. Simply delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons chopped roasted garlic (from 4-oz jar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
  • 1 1/2-lb beef boneless top round steak, 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick
Instructions:
  • Combine all ingredients, except for the beef, in a shallow glass dish or resealable plastic bag. Add the beef and coat it with the marinade. Cover the dish or seal the bag, then refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight, flipping the beef occasionally.
  • Preheat the grill for direct heat. Take out the beef from the marinade and set the marinade aside.
  • Grill beef uncovered over medium heat for 12 to 18 minutes, turning and brushing with marinade as needed, until cooked to your liking. Discard any extra marinade before slicing the beef thinly across the grain to serve.
