Indulge in a delectable breakfast sandwich combining grilled cheese and scrambled eggs, infused with flavorful seasonings and a duo of cheeses.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic-pepper seasoning
  • 0.33333334326744 cup Cheddar-Jack cheese
  • 2 teaspoons butter, softened
  • 2 slices bread
  • 0.33333334326744 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, milk, salt, onion powder, and garlic-pepper seasoning in a bowl, whisk until smooth and pale yellow. Add Cheddar-Jack cheese, stir until mixture thickens.
  • Prepare the skillet by generously spraying it with cooking spray and heating it over medium-low heat. Gently pour the egg mixture into the skillet and continuously stir until the eggs are fully cooked and set, which should take approximately 5 minutes. Once done, transfer the eggs to a plate.
  • Gently spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Spray the skillet once more with cooking spray. Layer one buttered slice of bread in the pan. Top with half of the mozzarella cheese, the egg mixture, the rest of the mozzarella, and the remaining bread, buttered-side up. Cook until bread is toasted and golden, which should take 1 to 2 minutes. Flip and cook until the other side is browned and the cheese is melted, approximately 1 to 2 minutes more.
  • Transfer to a plate and allow to cool briefly before serving.
