Indulge in the ultimate fusion of grilled cheese and BLT for a mouthwatering lunch experience.
Ingredients:
  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 8 ounces (2 cups) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 to 12 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 slicing tomatoes (such as beefsteak, Brandywine, or Cherokee purple), sliced 1/4-inch thick
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 12 leaves butterhead or other crispy lettuce
Instructions:
  • Prepare the grilled cheese: Lay two slices of bread on a skillet over medium-low heat, buttered side down. Sprinkle half cup (2 ounces) shredded cheese evenly over the slices. Cook until cheese is melted and bread is crisp, around 2 minutes.
  • Build the sandwich: Take out of the skillet. Arrange one side with 2 to 3 strips of bacon, slices from half a seasoned tomato, and 3 lettuce leaves. Close the sandwich. Repeat for the other sandwiches. Cut in half and enjoy while warm.
