Elevate your tuna with a tangy ginger-lime marinade for a burst of flavor!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 lb tuna steaks, 3/4 to 1 inch thick
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped gingerroot
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Lime wedges, if desired
Instructions:
  • For large fish steaks, slice into 6 serving pieces. Combine all ingredients except lime wedges in a shallow glass dish or resealable plastic bag. Marinate the fish by coating it with the mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, making sure to turn the fish once, but do not exceed 24 hours of marinating time.
  • Preheat grill for direct heat. Take fish out of marinade; set aside marinade. Grill fish about 4 inches from heat for 11 to 15 minutes, brushing with marinade 2 or 3 times and flipping once, until easily flaked with a fork. Do not use any extra marinade. Serve with lime wedges.
