Grilled Maple and Cranberry Glazed Chicken

Transform cranberry sauce into a decadent chicken glaze with real maple syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (15 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup real maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 3/4 lb)
Instructions:
  • Prepare the grill by brushing the rack with canola or vegetable oil and heating it. Combine half of the cranberry sauce with the syrup. Season the chicken by sprinkling salt over it.
  • Grill the chicken over medium heat, covered, for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken and continue cooking, covered, for 10 to 15 more minutes. Brush occasionally with cranberry-syrup mixture until the chicken's juices run clear (170°F at the thickest part). Dispose of any extra cranberry-syrup mixture.
  • Present chicken accompanied by the remaining cranberry sauce.
