Grilled pork burgers with spicy kick, topped with sweet pineapple salsa - perfect for summer BBQs.
Ingredients:
  • 1 fresh pineapple, cored and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 poblano peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 small red onion, coarsely chopped
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 3 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground red chile pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Arrange pineapple and peppers in an enticing pattern on a baking sheet. Gently coat them with 1 tablespoon of flavorful olive oil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until nicely browned, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
  • Heat the remaining olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion until soft, for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a blender or food processor, blend pineapple-pepper mixture, onion, orange juice, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add cilantro and blend briefly. Refrigerate for about 1 hour before serving.
  • Mix ground pork with seasoned salt, paprika, dill, garlic powder, hot sauce, and red pepper in a large bowl until well combined. Shape into 8 patties using your hands.
  • Heat up your gas or charcoal grill until it reaches medium-high heat, then lightly oil the grate.
  • Grill burgers until golden brown and cooked to your desired level, 5 to 7 minutes per side.
  • Top the burgers with buns and add a flavorful touch with pineapple salsa.
