Grilled Steak Sandwiches

Juicy grilled beef stuffed in pita bread sandwiches - a crowd-pleasing meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 envelope (1.1 ounces) meat marinade mix
  • 2-pound beef boneless top round steak, 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick
  • 8 pita bread folds
Instructions:
  • Combine all ingredients, excluding the beef and pita breads, in a shallow glass or plastic dish, or a resealable plastic bag. Add the beef and coat it with the marinade. Cover the dish or seal the bag, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but no longer than 24 hours.
  • Preheat your grill. Take the beef out of the marinade, saving the marinade. Grill the beef about 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 15 to 20 minutes, turning once and basting regularly with the marinade, until cooked to your liking. Dispose of any leftover marinade. Slice the beef thinly and serve it in pita bread pockets.
