Flavorful thyme turkey burgers with sweet & spicy cranberry sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice, or to taste
  • 1 pinch ground cumin
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 cup minced celery
  • 0.5 cup minced onion
  • 1.5 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 8 hamburger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grate. Combine cranberry sauce, horseradish, lemon juice, and cumin in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  • Combine the egg, celery, and onion in a bowl, using your hands to blend until the egg is silky. Stir in the turkey, thyme, poultry seasoning, parsley, and bread crumbs until well mixed. Shape into 8 patties.
  • Grill the turkey burgers until they are cooked through and the juices run clear, about 4 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure they reach at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Serve on hamburger buns with cranberry sauce on top.
