Grilled turkey Reuben on rye with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing – a delicious twist on a classic!
Ingredients:
  • 10 ounces sliced deli turkey meat
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 4 slices marble rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Microwave the turkey on a plate and the sauerkraut in a bowl separately for 30 seconds each.
  • Generously butter one side of each rye bread slice. Place bread buttered side down on work surface. Spread Thousand Island dressing on top of each slice.
  • Place warm sauerkraut onto two slices of bread. Layer with half of the turkey and half of the Swiss cheese. Cover with remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.
  • Preheat a large skillet over gentle heat. Add sandwiches to the skillet and cook until bread is golden and cheese is melted, around 3 minutes on each side.
