Try the best Ground Beef Stroganoff for fall comfort in just 30 minutes. Seasoned ground beef with mushrooms, onions, garlic, and spices in a creamy sauce over egg noodles. Easy, quick, and sure to impress your family.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (8 oz) sliced baby portabella mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups Progresso™ beef-flavored broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 cups cooked egg noodles
  • Chopped Italian (flat-leaf) parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté mushrooms, onions, and garlic in the butter for 5 to 7 minutes until tender. Transfer to a small bowl and set aside.
  • Turn the heat up to medium-high. In the same skillet, cook the beef for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often, until it is no longer pink. Remember to drain the excess fat. Then, add 1 cup of beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet, and bring it to a boil. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and the remaining 1/2 cup of beef broth until well combined, and then add it to the beef mixture. Stir in the mushroom mixture, and let it come back to a boil. Keep stirring for about 1 minute until the mixture thickens. Finally, take the skillet off the heat and mix in the sour cream.
  • Serve the dish over a bed of tender egg noodles and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a beautiful finishing touch.
