Halloween Jell-O Shots

Halloween jello shots with candy corn layers: orange and lemon vodka gelatin topped with rum-infused condensed milk.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup boiling water
  • 1 (3 ounce) package lemon-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 3 ice cubes, or as needed
  • 1 (3 ounce) package orange-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 (.25 ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.5 cup light rum
Instructions:
  • Prepare the yellow layer by combining boiling water with lemon gelatin mix in a small bowl until fully dissolved.
  • Measure 2 cups of vodka in a liquid measure, then top up with ice until it reaches 1 1/4 cups. Mix this with the lemon gelatin until slightly thickened, removing any remaining ice. Fill 16 tall shot glasses each 1/3 full with the mixture. Refrigerate for at least 1 1/2 hours until set.
  • Once the lemon gelatin has set, proceed to prepare the orange layer: Simply pour boiling water into a small bowl, then add the orange gelatin mix and stir until completely dissolved.
  • Measure 2 cups of vodka in a liquid measure and add ice until it reaches 1 1/4 cups. Combine with orange gelatin mixture, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove any remaining ice, then pour into shot glasses over lemon gelatin. Chill until orange gelatin is firm, for at least 1 1/2 hours.
  • Once the orange gelatin has set, prepare the white layer by combining warm water and unflavored gelatin in a bowl until fully dissolved. Mix in condensed milk and rum. Carefully pour the mixture into shot glasses over the orange gelatin. Chill in the refrigerator until set, for a minimum of 30 minutes.
