Surprise your guests with spooky Halloween cupcakes made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ chocolate cake mix and frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Milk Chocolate Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1 tube (4.25 oz) Betty Crocker™ yellow decorating icing
  • 48 semisweet chocolate chips
  • 24 pieces candy corn
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups.
  • Prepare and bake the cake mix following the instructions on the box to make cupcakes, using water, oil, and eggs. Allow the cupcakes to cool for 10 minutes, then transfer them from the pans to cooling racks. Let them cool completely for about 20 minutes before serving.
  • Transfer the white frosting into a decorating bag with a 3/8-inch round plain tip #804 or #4T. Pipe 2 large rounds side by side on each cupcake to create the owl face. Add yellow decorating icing in the center of the rounds for the eyes, then place chocolate chips on top for the pupils. Finally, insert a candy corn piece between the eyes to make the beak.
