Irresistible party sliders with warm deli ham, melted Swiss, and seasoned butter on sweet Hawaiian rolls.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 (6 ounce) package thinly sliced deli ham
  • 0.75 pound shredded Swiss cheese
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then prepare a 9-inch square baking pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying with cooking spray.
  • Remove the rolls from the package and cut horizontally using a serrated knife to separate them into a top and bottom "slab."
  • First, gently lay the bottom slab into the pan. Next, add a generous layer of half of the savory ham, then all of the rich Swiss cheese, and top it off with the rest of the delicious ham. Finally, elegantly cover it all with the top slab for a perfect finish.
  • Combine melted butter with mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, onion, salt, and pepper in a small bowl and whisk until fully mixed.
  • Drizzle the melted butter mixture over the rolls and use a spatula to distribute it evenly; any excess will gather at the bottom. Cover with foil and allow to rest at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bake covered in a preheated oven until the cheese has melted, approximately 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until rolls are golden brown. Then, cut to separate into sliders.
