Delicious Hawaiian sliders with ham, cheese, sweet rolls, and buttery poppy seed sauce - perfect for potlucks and fuss-free entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray (such as Crisco®)
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, or more to taste
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls, split, or more as needed
  • 1 pound sliced deli ham, or more as needed
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese, or more as needed
Instructions:
  • Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter and sauté onions until softened, about 5-10 minutes. Stir in mustard, poppy seeds, and Worcestershire sauce, then cook and stir for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Place the roll bottoms in the baking dish. Spread 2/3 of the onion mixture on top. Top each roll with ham and cheese. Cover with the roll tops and brush the rest of the onion mixture over them. Cover the dish with foil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until the rolls are lightly browned on top, for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
