Delicious and budget-friendly oven-baked hamburger steaks smothered in a creamy mushroom sauce for a comforting meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 25 saltine crackers, crushed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Combine ground beef, crackers, milk, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Shape the mixture into eight large patties and arrange them in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour condensed soup over the patties, sprinkle canned mushrooms on top, and cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
  • Bake until patties are fully cooked through, approximately 45 minutes at 160 degrees F (70 degrees C. Check with an instant-read thermometer to ensure it is fully done.
