Savor juicy beef patties with sautéed veggies and flavorful pan sauce for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef (90% lean)
  • 0.33333334326744 cup plain dried bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.75 cup sliced onion
  • 0.5 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 0.5 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
Instructions:
  • Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, seasoned salt, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic in a large bowl using your hands until combined. Shape into 4 patties of equal size and set aside.
  • In a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil until shimmering. Add mushrooms, onion, and bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté the vegetables until the onion just begins to soften, about 4 to 5 minutes. Keep the vegetables warm after removing them from the skillet.
  • Sear beef patties until golden brown on each side for about 3 minutes. Top and surround them with vegetables in the skillet. Pour in beef broth, then simmer on medium heat until patties reach 160°F (71°C) internally, about 4 to 5 minutes, tested with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Plate the patties with the vegetables on top. Simmer the liquid in the skillet until reduced to about 1/2 cup. Drizzle each serving with 2 tablespoons of the skillet sauce. Serve while warm.
