Satisfying hamburger stew with potatoes, tomatoes, and onions, ready in under an hour.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped, or more to taste
  • 0.25 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 (1.41 ounce) package sazon seasoning (such as Goya®)
  • 2 cubes beef bouillon
  • 1 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 4 ounces frozen mixed vegetables (such as Birds Eye®)
Instructions:
  • In a large nonstick skillet, heat over medium-high, then cook and stir ground beef until browned and crumbly, for about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and discard any excess grease.
  • In a large pot, combine beef, water, tomato sauce, potatoes, tomatoes, onion, sazon, bouillon cubes, garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, bay leaf, and black pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in frozen vegetables and cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 more minutes.
