Elevate lasagne with a modern twist: frozen hash browns make for a quick, cheesy delight. Ready in 10 mins with supermarket finds, this dish offers easy portions.
Ingredients:
  • 500g pork and veal mince
  • 500g Mum’s Sause Bolognese
  • 490g btl bechamel lasagne sauce
  • 8 frozen hash browns
  • 250g (2 1/2 cups) pre-grated 3 cheese blend
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan forced, and generously grease an 18 x 22cm baking dish.
  • 1. In a large saucepan set over high heat, warm the oil until shimmering. 2. Add the mince and cook for 5 minutes, using a wooden spoon to break up any lumps until the mince changes color. 3. Pour in the Bolognese sauce along with 125ml (1/2 cup) water. Bring to a vigorous boil. 4. Lower the heat to a gentle simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens to perfection.
  • Layer the mince mixture, bechamel sauce, and one-third of the cheese in the dish. Place half of the hash browns on top and press down gently. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a sprinkle of the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake until the cheese is bubbly and golden, approximately 25 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
