Indulgent hot chocolate to warm your soul.
Ingredients:
  • 45g (1/4 cup) hazelnuts
  • 350g dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1.5L (6 cups) milk
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) hazelnut syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Spread hazelnuts on a baking tray and toast for 5-8 minutes until fragrant. Transfer to a clean tea towel, rub to remove skins, then chop coarsely.
  • Distribute the chocolate evenly into six heatproof serving glasses.
  • In a large saucepan, combine the milk, syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Heat over medium-low heat until it comes to a gentle boil. Whisk with a balloon whisk until well combined and slightly frothy.
  • Divide the milk mixture evenly among glasses to melt the chocolate. Add a generous dollop of whipped cream, sprinkle with hazelnuts, and serve right away.
