Roasted pork loin with herb rub and tangy-sweet glaze.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 (5 pound) boneless pork loin
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 0.25 cup vinegar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Mix sage, salt, pepper, and garlic in a bowl. Dry rub the pork all over with the mixture. Transfer the seasoned pork to a roasting pan and place it on the middle oven rack, uncovered.
  • Roast in the oven until the internal temperature reaches at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), about 3 hours or to your preferred doneness.
  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, water, and soy sauce. Cook until the mixture bubbles and thickens slightly. Brush the roast with the glaze several times during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Drizzle the rest of the glaze over the roast before serving.
