Elevate your steak sandwich with zesty Italian herbs and creamy avocado.
Ingredients:
  • 1kg beef rump steak
  • 40.00 ml basil, chopped
  • 40.00 ml parsley, chopped
  • 2 tsp thyme, chopped
  • 56.88 gm olive oil
  • 6 slices tasty cheese
  • 12 slices multigrain bread
  • 117.50 gm lite sour cream
  • Sea salt and pepper
  • 1 butter lettuce, leaves separated and washed
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 avocados, flesh chopped
Instructions:
  • Tenderize rump steak and slice into 6 pieces. Mix herbs with olive oil, sea salt, and pepper. Brush steaks with herb mixture.
  • Preheat the barbecue flat plate to medium-high. Grill the steak, turning once, for 5-7 minutes to your desired level of doneness. Top each steak with a slice of cheese. Remove from the heat, tent with foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Make a flavorful Avocado Cream by mixing ripe avocados with sour cream and a dash of pepper. Then, toast bread slices and assemble a tasty sandwich with lettuce, steak, tomato, red onion, and the delicious avocado cream.
