Try this enticing Spanish Sangria made with red wine, fruits, and hibiscus flowers for your next party.
Ingredients:
  • 2 quarts water
  • 3 oz dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups alcoholic or non-alcoholic red wine
  • 2 cups cantaloupe balls
  • 2 cups pineapple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Bring water to a boil in a 3-quart saucepan. Add hibiscus flowers and simmer uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes until the water transforms into a deep burgundy color.
  • After straining the fragrant hibiscus mixture, elegantly remove the flowers. Gently mix in the sugar until it dissolves effortlessly; allow it to rest until wonderfully cool.
  • Incorporate the wine and fruit into the chilled hibiscus mixture, then refrigerate until cold.
