Colorful fruit-filled sangria with floral hibiscus and elderflower twist.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups water
  • 0.75 cup dried hibiscus petals
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 (750 milliliter) bottles rose wine
  • 0.75 cup brandy
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup elderflower syrup
  • 0.25 cup triple sec
  • 0.5 fresh pineapple - peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cut into chunks
  • 1 pint strawberries, cut into chunks
  • 2 oranges, cut into small chunks
  • 1 lemon, cut into small chunks
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, combine water, hibiscus petals, honey, cinnamon sticks, and cardamom. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let it steep for 1 hour before straining. Mix in wine, brandy, brown sugar, elderflower syrup, and triple sec until the sugar dissolves. Add pineapple, apples, strawberries, oranges, and lemon. Chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
