Sip on a stylish, versatile Hibiscus Spritz - perfect for any occasion. Make the syrup in advance for easy, refreshing enjoyment anytime.
Ingredients:
  • For the hibiscus simple syrup (makes about 2 cups):
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • Hibiscus spritz:
  • 1 ounce hibiscus simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 5 ounces sparkling water (club soda)
  • Fresh lime, for garnish
Instructions:
  • Create a fragrant hibiscus simple syrup: Combine sugar, water, and dried hibiscus flowers in a small pot. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and syrup steams. Remove from heat, steep for 10 minutes, strain out flowers, and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
  • For the Hibiscus Spritz: Combine vodka and 1 ounce of simple syrup in a tall glass, stir well, add ice, pour sparkling water on top, and garnish with a fresh lime wedge. If preferred, reduce vodka to 3/4 ounce, and substitute sparkling wine for club soda. For a Mocktail: Mix 1 1/2 ounces of simple syrup with sparkling water, serve chilled over ice.
