Creamy, smoky dip perfect for a foodie crowd.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) package Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies® Smoked Sausage, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup white wine (sweet like Riesling)
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) wheel Brie cheese, rind removed and cheese diced
  • 4 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • Dash of salt and pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 small French baguette, sliced 1/4 inch thick and toasted
  • Honey for drizzling
Instructions:
  • Chop 8 Lit'l Smokies smoked sausages and set aside. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, cook the sausages in olive oil with garlic until lightly browned.
  • Combine white wine and milk. In a separate bowl, toss brie and Cheddar cheeses with flour until well coated. Gradually whisk the cheese mixture into the saucepan. Whisk continuously until the mixture is smooth and thick, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Brown the leftover smoked sausages in a skillet. Serve the warm fondue with Lit'l Smokies smoked sausages, apple slices, and toasted baguette, drizzled with honey.
