Beat the heat with this irresistible homemade ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 45.00 gm firmly packed brown sugar
  • 30g butter, chopped
  • 63.13 gm thickened cream
  • 2 x 50g chocolate-coated honeycomb bars, chopped
  • 2 litres vanilla ice-cream chopped chocolate-coated honeycomb bar, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine sugar, butter, and cream. Stir constantly for 10 minutes, or until the mixture is melted and smooth. Allow it to cool completely before using.
  • Gently mix sugar mixture and honeycomb bars into softened ice-cream. Transfer mixture back into container or alternatively into a greased and lined round springform pan or loaf pan. Smooth the surface and cover with plastic wrap to prevent ice crystals. Freeze overnight until firm. Allow the ice-cream to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped honeycomb bars when serving.
