Elevate your holiday party with this spiced pumpkin bread laced with dark chocolate chips.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon butter, or as needed
  • 3.5 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 (29 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1.5 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously butter two 7x3-inch loaf pans.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and ginger in a large bowl and mix well.
  • Combine pumpkin puree, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Incorporate into flour mixture until well combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips, then distribute batter evenly among the prepared pans.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted into the centers of the loaves comes out clean, about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
