Quick stovetop cheese sauce made with Cheddar, milk, butter, and flour - a healthier Velveeta alternative! Ready in under 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1.75 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat until melted, then whisk in flour and salt until a paste forms.
  • Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly until well blended, approximately 2 minutes. Introduce the cheese.
  • Melt and stir cheese until gooey and smooth, for 1 to 2 minutes.
