Homemade Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce

Simmer ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, and garlic for a delicious pasta sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 small tomatoes, diced
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and cook the tomatoes until they start to break down, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add basil, olive oil, garlic salt, salt, and pepper. Gradually stir in flour and cook until thickened, another 5 to 7 minutes. Incorporate water to smooth out any flour lumps. Stir in garlic and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve hot.
