Whip up a quick and easy meal with our Honey Orange Red Cabbage and Pork Bangers for two.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (75g each) thick pork sausages
  • 400g red cabbage, cored, shredded
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • 65.63 gm orange juice
  • 20.00 ml red wine vinegar
  • 18.40 gm chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • In a medium frying pan over medium-high heat, heat 1 teaspoon of oil. Cook sausages for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through. Transfer sausages to a plate and cover to keep warm. Use a paper towel to wipe the pan clean.
  • Heat the rest of the oil in the pan, then add the cabbage. Stir and cook for 3 minutes until it is just tender. Drizzle in the honey and mix well. Pour in the orange juice and 3/4 cup of cold water, then bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes until just tender. Stir in the vinegar and turn the heat to medium-high. Boil for 8 minutes until the liquid evaporates and the cabbage turns a dark red color.
  • Move cabbage to the side of the pan, add sausages back in, and cook for 3 minutes until heated through. Sprinkle with walnuts before serving.
