Impress guests with zesty honey soy chicken skewers, garnished with lime and sesame seeds.
Ingredients:
  • 12 Australian Chicken Thigh Fillets, trimmed, chopped
  • 125ml honey
  • 125ml soy sauce
  • 60ml oyster sauce
  • 20.00 ml finely grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, Chinese five spice, and oil. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour to enhance the flavors.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and evenly thread it onto 30 small bamboo skewers that have been soaked.
  • Preheat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook half of the skewers, turning occasionally, for 8 mins or until they are cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining skewers.
  • Arrange the skewers on a decorative plate and generously sprinkle with aromatic sesame seeds.
