Delicious date and almond bar cookies sweetened with honey, and made without butter.
Ingredients:
  • 1.3333333730698 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 0.33333334326744 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt before setting it aside. In a large bowl, beat eggs until thick and a lovely lemon color, then incorporate honey and almond extract.
  • Blend dry ingredients gradually until well incorporated, then fold in dates and almonds. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 13 x 9 inch pan.
  • - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned on top. Allow to cool in the pan for 2 minutes before cutting into bars. Once cool, dust with confectioners' sugar.
