Wholesome honey granola bars loaded with oats, wheat germ, dried fruit, and walnuts - perfect for a satisfying breakfast or snack!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.75 cup dried fruit
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup whole wheat flour
  • 0.5 cup toasted wheat germ
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish or jelly roll pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Combine the oats, walnuts, brown sugar, dried fruit, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, wheat germ, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  • Combine oil, honey, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl, then mix into oats until just combined. Spread the batter in the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the edges turn golden brown, which should take around 20 to 25 minutes. Let it cool slightly on a wire rack, then slice into 12 bars while still warm with a pizza cutter.
