Indulgent honey cornbread made with rich cream, sweet and tender - ideal pairing for hot chili.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup honey
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and gently grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  • Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl, creating a well in the center. Mix in cream, eggs, oil, and honey until fully incorporated. Transfer batter to the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
