Indulge in a delectable honey roasted apple pie made with Pillsbury™ pie crusts - a perfect sweet treat!
Ingredients:
  • 3 lb Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks (8 cups)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 box (14.1 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Pie Crusts (2 Count), softened as directed on box
  • 2 tablespoons honey, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and position the oven rack on the lowest level. In a large bowl, combine apples, 1/3 cup honey, flour, and cinnamon, tossing until evenly coated.
  • Follow the package instructions to gently place 1 pie crust in a 9 1/2-inch glass deep-dish pie plate. Spoon the apple mixture into the crust, creating a mound in the center. Carefully lay the second crust over the filling, seal the edges, and flute them. Make 4 slits on the top crust to let steam out. Put the pie plate on a cookie sheet.
  • Place the dish on the lowest oven rack and bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until the crust turns a beautiful golden brown and the filling bubbles. Once done, brush the top with 2 tablespoons of honey. Allow it to cool entirely on a rack for about 4 hours.
