Wholesome and balanced loaf with a touch of whole wheat for a satisfying bite.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.33329999446869 cup honey
  • 0.33329999446869 cup vegetable oil
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • In warm water, dissolve yeast and honey. Stir in whole wheat flour, salt, and vegetable oil. Gradually incorporate all-purpose flour. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 10 to 15 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a well-oiled bowl, turn to coat, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.
  • Gently deflate the dough, then divide it into two portions and shape each portion into a loaf before placing them in two well-greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Let the dough rise until it reaches 1 to 1 1/2 inches above the pans.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C and bake for 25-30 minutes.
