Indulge in these delicious glazed cookies, featuring high-fiber cereal for a twist on a classic favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups Fiber One™ original bran cereal
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 to 4 teaspoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to blend together butter, brown sugar, honey, and egg until smooth, making sure to scrape the bowl constantly. Next, mix in flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Finally, fold in the cereal.
  • Spoon dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, ensuring they are 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until golden brown and set with shiny surfaces. Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks. Allow to cool for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Combine the glaze ingredients in a small bowl until perfectly smooth, then generously drizzle over the cookies.
