Elevate your weeknight meals with simple pantry items, fresh ingredients, and a delicious chicken wings dish.
Ingredients:
  • 175g (1/2 cup) Pure Australian Honey
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2cm piece ginger, finely grated
  • 1 long red chilli, seeded, finely chopped
  • 12 large chicken wings
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds, toasted
  • Steamed white rice (optional), to serve
  • Asian greens (optional), to serve
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat the oven to 230C. 2. Combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, chili, and 60ml (1/4 cup) water in a heavy-based saucepan over high heat until the mixture boils and the honey is melted. 3. Transfer half of the honey-soy mixture into a roasting pan, then let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Simmer the leftover honey-soy mixture in a saucepan over medium heat until it becomes thick and syrupy, approximately for 10 minutes. Then, set it aside.
  • Coat chicken generously in soy mixture in a roasting pan. Season with salt and pepper, then cook for 40 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is dark golden and fully cooked. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Arrange the chicken on plates, generously drizzle with the irresistible honey-soy syrup, and finish by sprinkling with aromatic sesame seeds. Pair this delightful dish with steamed white rice and optional Asian greens.
