Irresistible honey ginger soy chicken wings that will leave you wanting seconds!
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds chicken wing drummettes
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced on the diagonal
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • Marinade:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (use gluten-free soy sauce if cooking gluten-free)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon Sriracha hot sauce (or other hot sauce)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F on the upper rack. Line a roasting pan with foil and lightly oil to prevent sticking.
  • Combine soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, garlic, and hot sauce in a bowl to create the marinade. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade for later use as a sauce.
  • Coat wings in marinade, arrange on pan: In a bowl, coat the chicken wings with the remaining marinade. Place the wings skin-side down on a foil-lined roasting pan, making sure not to overcrowd.
  • Roast in oven for 15 minutes, then flip the wings over using tongs to make them skin-side up. Continue roasting for another 10 minutes until nicely browned. Monitor the wings while cooking to prevent over-browning. If needed, move to a lower rack or cover with foil to finish cooking.
  • Coat cooked wings in reserved marinade: Transfer the wings to a bowl and coat them with the reserved marinade sauce.
  • To serve, top with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions for an extra burst of flavor and texture.
