Indulgent hot buttered rum sauce for dipping fruit, cake, or fondue favorites.
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup firmly packed golden brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 0.5 teaspoon rum-flavored extract
Instructions:
  • In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, gently melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, cream, and corn syrup. Let the mixture come to a boil and cook while stirring until the sugar dissolves, around 1 minute. Remove the saucepan from the heat and mix in the rum extract. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
