Create a decadent and flavorful buttery rum sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Cinnamon Chex™ cereal
  • 4 cups Honey Nut Chex™ cereal
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon rum flavoring
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
Instructions:
  • Place cereals in a large microwavable bowl. In a 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter, brown sugar, and honey uncovered on High for 2 minutes. Remember to stir after the first minute, until the mixture becomes bubbly. Stir in spices and rum flavoring. Pour the mixture over the cereal in the bowl, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated.
  • Microwave on High for 3 minutes, stirring and scraping the bowl after each minute.
  • Allow mixture to cool for approximately 5 minutes. Gently fold in the marshmallows, then spread the mixture onto waxed paper. Store in an airtight container.
