Simply mix, pour, add hot water, and garnish with fresh nutmeg for a stunning presentation. This recipe serves 24, perfect for entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup whipping (heavy) cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • Ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Gradually mix in whipping cream and powdered sugar on low speed until smooth. Stir in cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Enjoy right away or transfer the mixture into a 1-quart freezer container. Seal, label, and freeze for up to 3 months.
  • In each serving mug, combine rum and 2 tablespoons of Hot Buttered Rum Batter. Mix in boiling water and finish with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
